I aim to provide support and information to enable every woman to make the best decisions for herself, her baby and her family. I run an antenatal clinic where I will see you during your pregnancy, on The Terrace in Wellington City. I offer home, hospital and birth-centre births, with waterbirth available in all locations. After the baby is born I will visit you in your home for weeks. The midwives in our group specialise in home-birth and natural birth. This means we will support and encourage you throughout labour with minimal intervention. We want you to have the best possible experience.
We encourage women with low-risk pregnancies to birth at home or in a birth-centre. Clinic antenatal visits take place in our clinic room on The Terrace in central Wellington.

I have a strong belief in women's ability to give birth, and focus on pregnancy, birth and breastfeeding as normal life events. Waterbirth is an option some woman I give care to choose. I provide hospital birth care at Wellington Hospital, looking after women per month. I am experienced caring for women in both normal and complex pregnancies and births. I have a philosophy of supporting women and their families to achieve the best possible outcomes, through supporting their choices and providing excellent midwifery care regardless of circumstances. I am comfortable and experienced in supporting women in conjunction with the obstetric teams in Wellington Hospital as needed.
I am working with a fantastic group of midwives who have a similar philosophy to bring you a safe, sustainable model of care - we have an on call system for labour and urgent calls so that you and your baby always have a well-rested midwife to provide safe hands. We endeavour to provide continuity of care during your pregnancy and postnatally, but you will get the chance to meet the other members of the team.
About Hi, l began my nursing career in the UK in and quickly realised that l had a passion for midwifery. I have been qualified and registered since I moved to New Zealand with my husband and two children and began work soon after, as a midwife, at Wellington Hospital.
My time in a tertiary unit has afforded me the opportunity to care for women along the low to high risk spectrum. The time is now right to become an LMC midwife as part of a team. I feel extremely fortunate to have found professional partners who share the same desire and need to promote a level of care that is quality driven and woman-centred. In essence, we as a team, strive to provide a safe, healthy and individualised pregnancy and birth and further support you and your family through the early postnatal experience. Nurse and trained in Australia as a Midwife in I care for women in the Southern, Eastern and Central areas of Wellington. I occasionally can take women from outside of these areas if my caseload allows. I am of Samoan and Swiss descent and have a good understanding of the Samoan language, culture and customs. I enjoy caring for all Pacific women and do care for women of all ethnicities. I can care for up to 7 women per month and work with 2 other midwives where women have the support from my colleagues as well as myself through their pregnancy experience.

Since qualifying I have been fortunate to have worked in a variety of maternity settings giving me a broad understanding of maternity provision and woman centered care. I am passionate about midwifery and particularly enjoy caring for women and babies during the week postnatal period accompanying and supporting them on the initial stage of their journey into parenthood.
