Kaitaia is a wonderful place for you to experience the country's nature and culture. The most popular tourist attraction in Kaitaia is Ninety Mile Beach. While it's not actually 90 miles long, it's still pretty impressive! The beach is classed as a road, so you are able to drive on the beach, or better still catch a tour bus as conditions can be treacherous. A thrilling activity on Ninety Mile Beach is sandboarding down the huge sand dunes at Te Paki stream and the great thing about doing this trip as a tour is that boogie boards are supplied!
