We have a monthly gathering in the garden bar if nice, or upstairs if weather is not too good. Music and Arts Academy is a creative arts program. We started as a total beginners ukulele group and have progressed from there. We are a monthly jam for waikato based ukulele players. We aim to build community well being through music participation and welcome players of all ages and abilities. Alice plays in nine-member ukulele group, the Strumbles, and is also a Waikato Ukejam organiser. Alice has been a musician since the age of six, when her mother taught her ukulele.

Numbers vary and other instruments are welcome. Beginners and visitors are welcome to join in. We do perform in public occasionally as Ukes-a-Plenty but there is no pressure! Come and check out what Katikati has to offer a great place for your escape to the country. We welcome and support all beginners, and if you are a leader we would love you to take us to the next level.
We are a small uke group who enjoy playing at functions around town. If you are in the area on holiday, come and join us for a social strum along. Ring first to check time and venue as we do change occasionally.
